Description
Proof that we knit in Texas y’all!! Check out Issue 10 of Nomadic Knits the fabulous Texas Edition! It is bigger and bolder than ever, just like Texas. AND the yarn used in Susanna IC’s gorgeous Bluebonnet tee design is one of my “Feathers” bases.
Tail Feathers is an 80/20 blend of SW Merino Wool and Silk, fingering weight and is put up on 150g skeins at 600 yards. It is the perfect blend of strength, sheen and lightness that works during Texas summers and into Autumn. The colorway used in the magazine is Olive Oil, a color that I created specifically for this project. It is an soft, warm olive green tonal colorway that is currently only available on the Tail Feathers base. There are also other colorways available to be used that would work well for this pattern, as you can see. The pattern is size inclusive and with the added yardage per hank, it is less ends to weave in!
I am so thrilled and grateful to be included in this publication and hope all of you will check it out and knit Bluebonnet!
